David Gray Transferred to 2022

26/03/2021

Cartmel Racecourse has today announced that the David Gray concert after racing has been re-scheduled to Friday 24th June 2022.

Whilst the original 2021 date of 25th June falls four days after the scheduled date for lifting of most social distancing restrictions (June 21st) for large scale events published by the UK Government, the total numbers to be allowed safely at outdoor sporting events, as defined by the Sports Ground Safety Authority remain unconfirmed. Team at Cartmel Racecourse want to ensure that all of those who have already purchased tickets for the show will be able to attend, hence the difficult decision to transfer to 2022 has been taken.

With significant interest in this popular event, fans are assured that all tickets held for original dates will be honoured and are transferrable to the corresponding 2022 date. Any ticket queries should be directed to customerservices@cartmel-racecourse.co.uk

Geraldine McKay, Director of Racing for Cartmel Racecourse added:

“We can’t wait to welcome fans back to the racecourse – they are the life and blood of everything we do. We have a proud history of putting on stunning concerts to complement our after-race music entertainment programme, and know that the David Gray show will be another wonderful evening of racing and music. However, with government restrictions lifting only four days prior to the scheduled race day we understand the challenging situation faced by the artist and the uncertain nature of the Government Road Map. Whilst we’d be over the moon to have the course packed with race-goers and music lovers, it’s sadly not going to be possible in 2021, but know that it will only whet the appetite for us to really go to town in 2022.”
