Paddock Tickets

Paddock Tickets are our Course tickets, upgraded! They grant access to both our Course and Paddock Enclosures, each with many varied and fabulous options for how to enjoy your day. Why limit yourself?

They offer:

• Access to all of our amazing vendors, either side of the racecourse
• Free movement between Course and Paddock, each hosting unique attractions
• Further Big Screens for best possible viewing of the races
• Further bookies and betting facilities
• Access to area around Grandstand and the Paddock enclosure
• Parade Ring Viewing
• Grandstand Access (Available to those booked on our Louis Roederer Restaurant package)
• Access to Course Enclosure with access to Fairground, Trade Stalls etc.
• Free Parking  – 7 Acres
• Option for Paddock Parking – Limited and pre-bookable when booking tickets, at £10 per vehicle per day.

Annual Membership

This membership offers the following benefits:

• Free admission to all 9 days racing at Cartmel including any concert race days
• Free parking in the exclusive Members Only parking area, with the option to put up your gazebo for free

• Annual Members marquee in the Paddock enclosure with bar and betting facilities

Single Annual Membership is £200.00 per person.

Beckside Double Annual Membership

In addition to the perks of Annual Membership, Beckside Annual Memberships also include:

• Guaranteed car parking area directly on the beck, in the Paddock Enclosure
• Spaces allocated on a first-come, first-served basis each race day
• Close to the Members’ Marquee and facilities
• Prime parking in the heart of the Paddock – arrive when suits you!
• 2 Memberships and 1 parking space for just £550.00!

Woodside Double Annual Membership

In addition to the perks of Annual Membership, Woodside Annual Memberships also include:

• Guaranteed car parking area directly on the running rail, in the Course Enclosure
• Spaces allocated on a first-come, first-served basis each race day
• Prime parking next to the action – arrive when suits you!
• Please note this membership does not include access to the Members’ Marquee in the Paddock Enclosure
• 2 Memberships and 1 parking space for just £550.00!

Picnic Benches

Here at Cartmel, picnics are not only welcome but positively encouraged…

For those who would prefer more traditional seating with views along our Finishing Line or in the heart of the Paddock, why not opt for our Picnic Benches? Situated in either enclosure, you’ll have seating for up to 6 people. Pack the bubbles in your picnic basket and celebrate your winnings in style!

Our plots include:

• Guaranteed Seating… you can come and go as you please from the picnic area and return to your dedicated bench
• Wooden picnic benches seating up to 6 people
• Bring your own food and beverages
• Paddock Admission Tickets for 2 / 4 / 6 people subject to availability
• Free parking – 7 Acres car park

Please note that this package doesn’t include parking. All persons, including little ones (children/ infants) are included within the bench capacity. For example, 2 adults and 4 children would require a 6 person bench.

Paddock Enclosure: £99.00 for 2-person bench / £198.00 for 4-person bench / £286.00 for 6-person bench

Paddock Picnic Benches can pre-book Paddock Parking when booking tickets, for £10 per car per day.

Course Enclosure: £88.00 for 2-person bench / £176.00 for 4-person bench / £242.00 for 6-person bench

Course Picnic Benches can use Course Parking, bookable on the day for £10 per car per day.

2-person and 4-person benches: available Monday 27th May, Wednesday 29th May, Sunday 30th June, Monday 22nd July ONLY 

6-person benches: available EVERY RACE DAY

Paddock Marquee Tickets

New for 2024, our Paddock Marquee is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the day! Why not treat yourself to an added comfort on a race day?

With views onto the home straight, our canvas Marquee hosts bench seating and tables, all under a beautiful cover and complete with dedicated bar. Located in the heart of the paddock, you’ll have access to all of the delights, with access to the Course with its funfair and further enjoyments. This is a Paddock admission ticket, with extra benefits included!

Please note, only food and drink purchased from onsite vendors may be consumed in the Marquee.

Party Tents

Get the Party Started….In a Tent!

These Party Tents are situated in the Paddock Enclosure and are centrally located with easy access to food and drink outlets, betting and facilities. The Party Tents are self-catering, so you are welcome to bring your own food and drink for the day.

What’s included in the Party Tent Package?

• • 3m x 3m Mini Marquee with Tables & Garden Furniture
  • Perfect for groups up to 15 people
  • Includes 15 Paddock Tickets
  • One complimentary Paddock Parking space with option to add in further spaces – limited and pre-bookable when booking tickets, £10 per extra car per day

Please note, minibuses and similar vehicles are not permitted to use these car parking spaces and must follow directions on entry and exit to the Minibus and Taxi drop off area.

Saturday Race Days / Music Day  – £850.00 per day

All Other Race Days – £585.00 per day

Please note, all persons, including all little ones (children/ infants) are included within the maximum 15 person capacity. For example, if you have 12 adults and 3 children, you would be at your 15 person maximum.

Priory Side Parking:

Book yourself some gorgeous rail-side views of the races overlooking Cartmel Priory and local fell, Hampsfell! Our Priory Side Package is our ONLY independently pre-bookable car parking package. Located in our Paddock Enclosure, this package guarantees rail-side parking for the day. Set-up a gazebo and chairs, crack out the picnic and enjoy a day at the races!

This package includes:

• x1 car parking space for the day
• BYOG- Bring your own gazebo (we won’t charge our usual £20 gazebo charge)

Parade Ring Restaurant

Our Parade Ring Restaurant is the ideal mix of comfort and exploration, with a close-to-the-action position to ensure you really get the most out of your day!

Located next to the Parade Ring, our exclusive caterers for our Louis Roederer restaurant, Campbell & Rowley, have created a menu of sumptuous, top quality grazing buffet options. With a relaxed atmosphere, you’ll enjoy the benefits of our Cartmel hospitality with the freedom to wander the site at your leisure.

The Louis Roederer Restaurant

The Louis Roederer Restaurant is located on the first floor of the Grandstand (within the Paddock Enclosure) and boasts panoramic views of the racecourse, finishing line, and the parade ring. With a private viewing balcony and access to the steps of the Grandstand, enjoy a day’s racing in style! Race-goers can enjoy a delicious three-course a la carte meal and afternoon tea designed by our exclusive caterers, Campbell & Rowley.

Our caterers’ magic can only extend so far… Let’s keep it for their magical dishes and please let us know of any dietary requirements with a minimum of 48 hours notice.

Camping

Camp Close to the Action!

Our 4 designated camping areas are located at the southern end of the racecourse, within and just outside of the Course Enclosure.

The four areas are:

1) Scout Hut – campervans, touring caravans and motorhomes only

2) Mixed Field – campervans, touring caravans, motorhomes and tents

3) Paddock 2 – campervans, touring caravans and motorhomes only

4) Seven Acres – tents only

Please note, campers located close to the running rail may get wet if the track requires irrigation.

PLEASE NOTE CAMPERVANS/ MOTORHOMES ARE NOT PERMITTED ON A TENT PITCH.

We are bound by governance surrounding camping activities and as such tent pitches cannot be used by anything other than tents. Please do not bring along anything other than a tent, as you will not be allowed access and will not be eligible for a refund. 

Packages:

Full Meeting Camping Package:

For a minimum of two people. The packages includes Course admissions and a camping pitch for the duration of any single race meeting. Please note if there are more than 2 adults joining, you will need to purchase additional admission & camping tickets accordingly.

• 10am arrival day before first race day
• 11am departure day after final race day

Single Race Day Camping Package:

For a minimum of two people. The package includes Course admissions and a camping pitch for 2 nights over the duration of any single race day. Please note if there are more than 2 adults joining, you will need to purchase additional admission & camping tickets accordingly. Subject to availability.

• Arrival/ departure times vary according to dates booked

Bringing the family?

You must already have a camping package in your basket to be able to add any additional persons, including all children, to your order. Under-18’s still receive free general admission to the races; these camping tickets consist of a camping fee for their stay. (Please note: On a Concert Race Day, there will be concert admission prices for any children aged 15-17 and a ticket will be required for all ages.)

Caravan Facilities

We welcome motor-homes, campervans, touring caravans and tents, although all of the camping space provided is on grass. We will provide access to water, toilets, porta-showers and an Elsan point. There will be no electricity supply available to campers.

Under 18’s Tickets:

Free General Admission for all Race Days except Friday 28th June, Music Day

Music Day Tickets: 

0-14 years – Free of charge

15-17 years- £ tbc

Camping: 

Under 18’s still require a ticket for camping stays(prices vary according to package). Please ensure you add these to your basket at the time of booking.

Picnic Benches/Paddock Marquee/Party Tents/Parade Ring Lawn Restaurant:

Under 18s require a ticket for these packages which is charged at the standard rates as if for an adult. Please include your under 18s when purchasing tickets. This includes infants and children.

Louis Roederer Restaurant:

This package is for people aged 18 and over.

Cancellation Policy:

All tickets are non-transferrable and non-refundable once purchased. Tickets cannot be upgraded to another ticket type.

Lost or Stolen Badges/ Tickets:

We accept no responsibility for lost, stolen or forgotten badges, PASS Cards, tickets or other entitlements. The Racecourse has no obligation to replace a lost, stolen or forgotten badge, PASS Card, ticket or other entitlement. In the event that we decide to replace a lost, stolen or forgotten badge, PASS Card, ticket or other entitlement, we may charge a fee to do so.
