Paddock Tickets grants access to both our Course and Paddock Enclosures.

They offer:

  • Access to area around Grandstand and the Paddock enclosure
  • Parade Ring Viewing
  • Grandstand Access (Available to those booked on our Louis Roederer Restaurant package)
  • Access to Course Enclosure with access to Fairground, Trade Stalls etc.

Course Tickets

Our Course Tickets offers admission to our fabulous Course Enclosure which has a wide range of attractions:

  • Access to our FunFair with lots of family-friendly games to choose from
  • Food and Drinks Stands
  • Large Screen
  • Betting Stands
  • Free Parking (Seven- Acres)
  • On-Course Parking – Limited and bookable on the day at £10 per vehicle per day.

Picnic Benches

Here at Cartmel, picnics are not only welcome but positively encouraged…

For those who would prefer more traditional seating with views along our Home Straight, why not opt for our Picnic Benches? Situated in both enclosures, you’ll have uninterrupted views and seating for up to 6 people. Pack the Bubbles in your Picnic Basket and celebrate your winnings…losses… in style!

Our plots include:

  • Guaranteed Set Seating… you can come and go as you please from the picnic area and return to your same bench
  • Wooden picnic benches seating up to 6 people
  • Bring your own food and beverage
  • Paddock Admission Tickets for 6 people
  • Parasol Cover (Paddock-side only)

N.B. All persons, including all little ones (children/ infants) are included within the maximum 6 person capacity.

Party Tents

Get the Party Started….In a Tent!

These Party Tents are situated in the Paddock Enclosure and are centrally located with easy access to food and drink outlets, betting and facilities. With easy viewing via our big screens, the Party Tents are self-catering, so you are permitted to bring your own food and drink for the day.

What’s included in the Party Tent Package?

    • 3m x 3m Mini Marquee with Table & Garden Furniture
    • Perfect for groups up to 15 people
    • Includes 15 Paddock Tickets
    • Race Cards and The Racing Post (if available).

Saturday Race Days/ Concert Day  – £775.00 per day

Other Race Days – £585.00 per day

N.B. All persons, including all little ones (children/ infants) are included within the maximum 15 person capacity.

Priory Side Parking:

What’s better than rail-side views of the Cartmel Racecourse? Rail-side views of the races overlooking Cartmel Priory and local fell, Hampsfell. Our Priory Side Parking is located in our Paddock Enclosure and guarantees rail-side parking for the day. Set-up a gazebo and chairs, crack out the picnic and enjoy a day at the races!

This package includes:

  • x1 car parking for the day
  • BYOG- Bring your own gazebo (we won’t charge our usual £20 gazebo charge)

** This package does not include admission and each person will need to purchase Paddock Admission Tickets.

The Louis Roederer Restaurant

The Louis Roederer Restaurant is located on the first floor of the Grandstand (within the Paddock Enclosure) and boasts panoramic views of the racecourse, finishing line, and the parade ring. With a private viewing balcony and access to the front steps of the Grandstand, enjoy a day’s racing in style! Race-goers can enjoy a delicious three-course a la carte meal from their table designed by our exclusive caterers, Campbell & Rowley.

Camping

Camp Close to the Action!

Our 4 designated camping areas are located at the southern end of the racecourse, within and just outside of the Course Enclosure.

The four areas are: 1) Scout Hut, 2) Mixed Field, 3) Paddock 2, and 4) Seven Acres. Areas 1-3 admit Camper Vans, Motorhomes and touring caravans, with tents also admitted in Area 2. Area 4 admits tents only. Please note, campers located close to the running rail may get wet if the track requires irrigation.

Packages:

Full Season Camping Package:

For a minimum of 2 people. Includes a camping pitch for all our race meetings and fixtures plus two annual membership badges (granting Paddock Enclosure admission for all racedays plus more than 45 reciprocal racedays at other tracks in Britain and Ireland). Extra campers can be added on to this package. This package must be booked by calling our Racecourse Office on 015395 36340.

Single Meeting Camping Package:

For a minimum of two people. The pitch fee includes a camping pitch for the duration of any single race meeting; 4 nights for either May, June, July or August or an optional 6 nights for May only. Please note if there are more than 2 adults joining, you will need to purchase additional admission/ camping tickets accordingly.

  • 10am arrival day before first race day
  • 11am departure day after final race day

Single Race Day Camping Package:

For a minimum of two people. The pitch fee includes a camping pitch for 2 nights over the duration of any single race day. Please note if there are more than 2 adults joining, you will need to purchase additional admission/ camping tickets accordingly.

  • Arrival/ departure times vary according to dates booked

Bringing the family?

We consider children as people too so please do book them a ticket for their stay.

You must already have a camping package in your basket to be able to add any additional persons, including children, to your order. Under-18’s still receive free admission; these camping tickets consist of a camping fee for their stay. (Please note: On a Concert Race Day, there will be concert admission prices for any children aged 15-17 and a ticket will be required for all ages.)

Caravan Facilities

We welcome motor-homes, caravans and tents, although almost all of the camping space provided is on grass – parking on hard-standing can not be guaranteed. We will provide access to water, toilets, porta-showers and an Elsan point. There will be no electricity supply available to campers.

Camping: 

Under 18’s still require a ticket for camping stays(prices vary according to package). Please ensure you add these to your booking at the time of booking.

Louis Roederer Restaurant Package:

This package is for adults only. For food and beverage options, we have a variety of food and beverage stalls in our course enclosure. Selling delicious treats – icecream, pizza, burger galore- perfect for that family day out!

Cancellation Policy:

All tickets are non-transferrable and non-refundable.

COVID:

We hope to be able to return to some normalcy this 2022 racing season but we will remain up-to-date with existing guidelines and may have to  implement restrictions where necessary. We will notify you prior alongside our race-day information via email.

Lost or Stolen Badges/ Tickets:

We accept no responsibility for lost, stolen or forgotten badges, PASS Cards, tickets or other entitlements. The Racecourse has no obligation to replace a lost, stolen or forgotten badge, PASS Card, ticket or other entitlement. In the event that we decide to replace a lost, stolen or forgotten badge, PASS Card, ticket or other entitlement, we may charge a fee to do so.
