We are always on the hunt for friendly faces to join the Cartmel Team each year. 9 days a year, with varying roles available, it’s a fab way to add a little to your spending money over summer whilst meeting our lovely guests.

No experience necessary, any age over 17, all training will be provided. Perfect for students, part time workers, village locals… the list is endless. If you think this could be for you, please get in touch and we can go over the details with you.

We are always open to new ideas and new stalls. Please get in touch as above, where we can direct you to our applications and provide further details on what it looks like to trade at Cartmel Racecourse!

Race Day Stewards

The Race Day Steward will be responsible for;

• Meet and greet customers with a smile
• Provide general directions and assistance with customer queries
• Ticket checking, scanning, queue management etc
• Cash handling may be required
• Ensure the safety of customers
• Creating a positive experience for customers
• Assisting the core event team when required
• Assist with the smooth running of event days
• Represent Cartmel Racecourse in a professional, smart and appropriate manner at all times.
• Any other responsibilities that are required of you within reason

This is a seasonal role for our 9 race days over Summer 2025

We are looking for someone who has a warm and friendly manner, is proactive and comfortable working outdoors. You will have a positive mind-set and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Our customers are very important to us and we pride ourselves on the excellent customer experience we create at Cartmel, our staff need to share this ethos and be customer focussed and have a can-do attitude.
