Personal Assistant Scheme
The Personal Assistant Scheme aims to provide many of our customers who require full time assistance with a complimentary Personal Assistance ticket.
Personal Assistant tickets can only be provided in conjunction with a purchased Paddock Adult Admission Ticket. Personal Assistant tickets cannot be provided in conjunction with an under 18 Admission Ticket. This is due to racecourse policy that all under 18 persons must be always accompanied by a responsible paying adult.
To apply, please purchase Paddock Adult Admission tickets for the event you would like to attend through our website. The number of tickets purchased should be for all persons who would like to attend, excluding the Personal Assistant.

To be eligible, applicants must be able to supply one of the following supporting documents.
– Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
– Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
– Access Card
– Evidence of Registered Severely Sight Impaired
Completed forms with evidence should be emailed to [email protected]
If successful you will receive the Personal Assistant ticket as an E-ticket to the email address used to create the booking. We cannot send Personal Assistant E-tickets to an alternative email.
Parking
Blue Badge parking is available on both sides of the course.
Paddock Enclosure & Course Enclosure – Blue Badge parking must be pre-booked at a cost of £10.00 per parking space. Please email your booking reference, car registration and photo of your Blue Badge to [email protected]. We will then call to take the payment and send out a parking hanger in the post.

Accessible Toilets
Accessible toilets are available on the Paddock and Course side of the racecourse. For further assistance please take a look at our Accessibility Map.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas. Upon booking a hospitality package, please email the main office with you Booking Reference to let The Cartmel Team know you will be intending on bringing an Assistance Dog.
Please be aware that Cartmel Racecourse is an outdoor venue with limited shelter available. Most of the public areas have uneven grass surfaces.
