Lord Cavendish - Cartmel Racecourse

In 1974, Lord Hugh Cavendish of local Holker Estates joined the Board of Directors at Cartmel Racecourse.

Such was his love for this quirky little racecourse, he bought the business in 1988 and has transformed it into the venue it is today.
