Cheltenham Preview 2022

After 3 years unable to host our annual Cheltenham Preview, it was a pleasure to welcome you all back last night. Thank you to all who joined us.
This year’s panel had some insightful tips for the Cheltenham Festival next week. Our expert panel comprised of: Jimmy Moffatt, our 2021 Champion Trainer; Charlotte Jones, our 2021 Champion Jockey with 11 winning rides; Brian Harding, jockey trainer with his own runner at Cheltenham, Senor Lombardy (good luck Brian!); Marten Julian, insightful as ever with his inside knowledge; and Craig Thompson, our representative from William Hill with the inside ‘bookie’ scoop.
The evening was welcomed in by our own Lord Cavendish whilst John Sexton hosted the evening with charm as ever amidst a few technical difficulties. Tips came thick and fast with some unusual twists- Craig Thompson often ran against the grain by opting away from bookie’s favourites. Marten Julian provided us with his usual wealth of knowledge and all had sound reasoning behind their top tips, leaving us all excited for this year’s Cheltenham Festival.
Thank you to all who participated in our charity raffle for St Mary’s Hospice and congratulations to the winners. In total, we raised ยฃ175.00!
