Cheltenham Preview Night 2018

14/02/2018

We are pleased to introduce three great experts in their field to this year’s Cheltenham Preview evening panel.

James Moffatt – A Cartmel born and bred trainer who was previously a National Hunt jockey, when he won the Scottish Champion Hurdle and the County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. He has since achieved great success as a trainer including among many others, a win at Cheltenham with Chief Dan George in 2010.

Marten Julian – Highly regarded within the horse racing industry due to his huge experience and knowledge of horses and their form. Marten established his horse racing advisory service in 1970 while reading theology at King’s College, London. He is also the author of the Dark Horses Annual.

Brian Hughes – A regular winner here at Cartmel, we are delighted to welcome back Brian who is currently the North’s leading jockey and has recently racked up a fourth successive century of winners. Brian could well have three rides on Tuesday’s opening card at Cheltenham for trainer Ruth Jefferson.

The evening, held in the racecourse grandstand and hosted by our very own race day presenter, John Sexton will start at 7pm where our panel will give their predictions for each and every race at the festival. This really is a must for all Cheltenham enthusiasts.

Tickets are £16 per person and include a delicious light supper.
