Camping pitches for the races are now available to be booked by telephone on 015395 36340. A limited number of 80 pitches are available, so hurry while stocks last.
The pitches, which are available for tents, caravans or campervans, must be booked for a minimum of two nights - the night before and the night after each raceday. They are located at the southern end of the racecourse in the Course Enclosure.
James Moffatt broke into the list of Britain's top ten trainers courtesy of his win with Altruism in the Totepool Cumbria Crystal Cup at Cartmel. The £27,000 race was Moffatt's fifth win at Cartmel this season.
Dan Skelton, who has made a flying start to the campaign with more than 40 winners on the board already, is targeting a big race double with two of his early-season stars on the opening day of Cartmel’s Barbecue Meeting tomorrow.
Cartmel is geared up for one of its major days of the season on Saturday when the most valuable race run at the racecourse, the £27,000 Totescoop6 Cumbria Crystal Cup Handicap Hurdle will take centre-stage.
