In the Paddock Enclosure the Louis Roederer Grandstand Restaurant offers a superb lunch with a view of the finishing straight. Advance bookiing is almost always essential. The Conservatory Restaurant, located in the main hospitality marquee, should also be pre-booked although is more likely to have some late availability on the day.
A range of "take-away" food is available including Fish and Chips (highly recommended), beef burgers, tea, coffee, etc, while English Lakes Ice Cream is sold throughout the racecourse (they have even produced a special flavour for the racecourse this year called "Gingered-Up" - an ancient recipe for making horses run faster!)
There are no restaurants in the Course Enclosure, but you will find a wide range of food including a hog roast, fast food, pasties, ice cream, pies and sweets.
If you would like a BBQ but don't want to bring the meat with you, consider buying it at the racecourse! Furness Fish & Game sell BBQ packs (which can be booked for collection in advance) while you will also find tradestands for local food producers including Cartmel Cheeses and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Did you know that you can cook Sticky Toffee Puddings on your BBQ?
Lovers of real ale should try a pint of our own beer - a golden ale with a floral finish called "Hurdler". Brewed especially for the racecourse by the Winster Valley Brewery, the ale is so popular that the brewery has been forced to buy new equipment to increase production!
Tote betting facilities are available throughout the racecourse - remember you must be aged 18 or over in order to place a bet on the racecourse.
